Job Summary
The Driver I Class C position involves driving, loading, and unloading Class C vehicles while performing moving services. Responsibilities include safely operating vehicles, handling furniture and equipment, completing paperwork, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Ideal candidates should possess organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and basic mathematical skills. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, alongside relevant driving experience and a clean driving record. Must adhere to specific safety and customer service standards during operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required; or equivalent experience
- Two to three (2-3) years’ experience in a commercial office moving, or warehouse environment preferred
- One to two (1-2) years’ driver experience in a warehouse environment preferred
- Valid driving record that meets the company’s insurance carrier’s requirements
- Minimum age 21 to qualify for company vehicle insurance
Desired Qualifications
- Valid California Class C driver's license
- Preferred valid forklift certification
Additional Requirements
- Must pass pre-employment drug testing
- Must pass physical and criminal background checks
- Must participate in the DMV Pull Notice Program and Random Drug Testing Program
