Job Summary
Shuttle commercial vehicles to be repaired or post repairs between the maintenance shop and customers in the surrounding area. Pick up and deliver parts from local distribution centers back to the shop. Provide excellent customer service to external and internal contacts while maintaining a safe, compliant working environment. Contribute to the achievement of Maintenance Shop department goals and attend management meetings when requested. This role requires a valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) with 1–3 years of CDL driving experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift 75 pounds. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid DOT medical card, and pass a DOT-regulated background screening and physical. The position is based in Indianapolis with a day shift, offering hourly base pay ranging from $20.10 to $30.10.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3 years' experience in a related field
- A valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Between 1 and 3 years of CDL driving experience
- The ability to lift to 75 pounds and maneuver heavy equipment
- The ability to read/follow maps, routes, and GPS system
- Experience in positions demonstrates the ability to provide exceptional customer service to external and internal contacts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
- Familiarity with the local geography
- Candidate must be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment
- A current and valid DOT medical card with more than four (4) months remaining until its expiration
- Candidates must be at least 21 years or older
- Safe drivers needed and 3 YR MVR review required
- Candidate must hold a valid state-of-residence driver's license
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain their Driver Qualification File
- Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship
