Job Summary
Provide dependable and courteous transportation of goods with safety as a top priority by performing statewide deliveries to wineries, bars, restaurants, hotels, chain stores, etc. Present yourself in a positive uniformed way that will provide a communication link between customers and top management. Operate and maintain assigned vehicle and keep up-to-date records of deliveries, customer information, and logbook information. Maintain safe, defensive driving, read maps, interpret directions, and deliver goods in a prompt, professional, and friendly manner while maintaining accurate records of trip sheets, vehicle maintenance, and delivery-related documents.
Required Qualifications
- Valid California driver license Class C
- Clean driving record
- Knowledge of Maps, driving directions, and vehicle maintenance procedures
- Experience with DOT regulations and California Vehicle Code
- Ability to read and interpret maps and directions in English
- Ability to maintain accurate trip sheets, vehicle maintenance logs, and delivery records
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and frequent climbing in/out of truck cabs
- Defensive driving and safe operating practices
- Ability to perform minor vehicle maintenance and inspections
- Experience with route planning and problem solving
