Driver/Hike Associate

Job Summary
Drive safely and assist with outings for residents, including loading/unloading equipment and guiding residents on hikes. Perform duties such as assisting with wheelchair and motorized chair lifts, and respond to on-trail emergencies per BRHC plan. Maintain effective communication with the RL Coordinator and follow company policies, including harassment and complaint procedures. Demonstrate dependable, customer-service oriented behavior, read/write/speak English proficiently, and be capable of hiking 3-5 hours with elevation changes; lift up to 40 lbs and push/pull 40 lbs. Participate in required trainings and adhere to safety and regulatory guidelines for the long-term care facility. Act as a sweep/co-guide on each hike and assist BRHC lead guide as needed, while promoting a positive experience for residents, staff, vendors, and families.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must have a current NC Drivers License that is without restrictions related to traffic violations.
- Must be certified in CPR and First Aid, and maintain that certification.
- Proficient in assisting with Lifts of wheel chairs and motorized chairs.
