Job Summary
Part-time Driver Helper for UPS in the Downtown Toronto area. Duties include meeting the UPS driver at a local meet point, delivering and picking up packages, assisting with loading/unloading trucks, and maintaining records of delivered packages. Packets typically weigh 25–35 lbs with occasional lifts up to 70 lbs unassisted. Must be able to work 3–6 hours daily (10:00 AM–4:00 PM, Monday–Friday) and be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Wage is $18.15 per hour with weekly pay via direct deposit; contract runs June–August 2026 with possible extension. The role is part-time and seasonal in a Fortune 50 company, with union deductions applicable and opportunities for advancement. Must wear provided uniform and vest.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs (32 kg) unassisted
- Typical package weight 25-35 lbs
- Must be able to work 3-6 hours per day between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday
- Strong customer service skills
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to meet UPS driver at an assigned local meet point
- Willing to learn and properly execute UPS package handling/delivery methods
- Ability to load and unload trucks as required
- Record, track, and maintain information about delivered packages
- Uniform and vest compliance as provided by UPS
- Hours may vary depending on work volume
