Driver Helper Delivery

Job Summary
Assist the driver in delivering customer orders, loading and off-loading product, and driving pilot vehicles for oversize loads using company vans or pickup trucks. Secure product onto vehicles using material handling equipment, obtain signed proof of delivery, and inspect delivery vehicles for safety compliance. Plan work efficiency to meet daily, weekly, and project productivity goals while adhering to all safety procedures and escort service regulations. Carry product such as drywall and windows to designated customer areas and climb into vehicle cabs for visibility. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 100 pounds frequently, and experience performing similar tasks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- one (1) year experience performing these or similar tasks
- equivalent combination of education, training or experience
- Valid driver's license
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and understand maps, routes, road signs
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to read and understand machine and equipment diagrams and system schematics
- Knowledgeable of escort service regulations
- Knowledge of basic math and measurement skills
- Knowledge of and ability to use motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment
