Job Summary
Driver Helper assists the driver in loading/unloading the truck, navigating to deliveries, and handling freight to business or residence destinations. Responsibilities include using manifests to pull routes, staging freight, and ensuring timely completion of loading/unloading tasks; operating warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jacks); identifying overages, shortages, and damages; and adhering to TSA/OSHA safety guidelines. Requires ability to lift 50-75 lbs, strong reading comprehension of work instructions, map reading, and customer-service skills; overtime availability; and teamwork in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift 75 lbs unassisted
- Ability to read maps and geographic knowledge of the area
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to work well with others with little supervision
- Experience operating warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jacks) is a plus
