Driver (Ground Support Equipment)

Job Summary
Responsible for driving and operating Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to support aviation operations, ensuring on-time performance and safe transportation of items including documents, spare parts, tools and valuables. Performs daily vehicle inspections, reports faults, conducts minor maintenance and cleaning, maintains required personal documentation, completes necessary reports, adheres to safety, quality and customer-service standards, and performs adhoc support tasks. Requires holding a UAE driving license for at least 2 years, IPAF certification, high school diploma or equivalent, and minimum of 5 years’ aviation experience with at least 2 years in related roles (Operations/GSE Driver). Strong English communication skills and ability to work nights and weekends; PPE training is required. Etihad Airways context and Abu Dhabi location emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Holding valid UAE driving license for at least 2 years (light or heavy vehicles)
- IPAF training certificate or license
- Minimum of 5 years’ aviation experience including at least 2 years in a related position (Operations Driver or GSE Driver - Aircraft Maintenance)
- Strong English communication skills
- Trained on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
- Must be able to work nights and weekends, work under stress and be able to communicate in English
