Job Summary
Drive residents to and from assigned destinations for company-sponsored activities and medical appointments while ensuring the vehicle is inspected, maintained, and safe before each use. Verify all passengers and equipment, including wheelchairs and walkers, are securely fastened prior to departure. Keep accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and resident attendance. Assist with resident activities within the community. This full-time role operates from 8am to 4pm with an hourly wage of $19.00 to $21.00. A valid driver's license and prior experience in long-term care or assisted living are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or higher level of education
- Must be 21 year of age or older
- Must have a valid driver's license, with a driving record that is in good standing
- Must be able to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a driver for seniors is highly preferred
- Previous experience working long-term care, assisted living, skilled nursing is highly preferred
