Job Summary
Load, unload, and move materials using forklift and hand truck to and from pallets, racks, or shelves to maintain workflow of the production cycle. Operate forklift machinery to transfer donated goods to designated areas, place textiles into balers, weigh bundles, and transfer them using hand truck and forklift. Maintain production records, ensure work areas and facilities remain clean and organized, and adhere to loss prevention and inventory control procedures. Work as a material handler on trucks when required while providing excellent customer service and safeguarding team members and property. Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality. Forklift certification or ability to obtain it is required, along with a valid driver's license and automobile insurance coverage.
Required Qualifications
- 6 months to 1 year minimum experience working successfully in a fast-paced, physical, outdoor, service-oriented warehouse environment using forklift machinery
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift certification
- Good verbal communication skills with ability to effectively work as a team to achieve mission goals
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and automobile insurance coverage
- Must be able to travel as needed if you drive your vehicle during company business
