Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents living on campus in Hershey, PA, for Milton Hershey School. A two-person married couple provides care, supervision, mentorship, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students in a home setting; responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a single househome for ongoing care of the same student group. Benefits include a salary of $44,768 per person (approx. $168,000 per couple total compensation including housing), comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Proven integrity and professionalism in student-facing roles
