Job Summary
Two-person full-time Flex Houseparents on Milton Hershey School campus provide supervision, mentorship, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include daily supervision, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and adapting to a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule with eventual transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same student group. Requires being legally married for at least two years, both spouses aged 27 or older, and a high school diploma or GED. A valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to certify to drive student vans are required. Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
