Job Summary
Two-person, on-campus Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in student homes at Milton Hershey School to supervise and mentor 8–13 students, provide care and guidance, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, manage household routines and budgeting, and report on activities. The role starts with a nine-on/twelve-off schedule and transitions into a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include a per-person salary of $44,768 (approximately $168,000 per couple when including housing and meals), comprehensive insurance options, retirement savings, relocation assistance, paid time off, and paid training. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role model for students
