Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents role at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Married couples (legally married for at least two years) reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, budgeting and reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a single student-home assignment. Salary $44,768 per person (approx. $168,000 total per couple) plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance; paid training; PTO. Requires two-person couple, both spouses 27+, no more than three dependent children, HS diploma/GED, driver’s license, ability to drive vans, and a commitment to the campus rules.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
