Job Summary
Two-person, on-campus Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School, residing in student homes to provide care, supervision, and guidance for 8–13 students, including driving to activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and coordinating schedules. The position starts with a nine-on, three-off cycle and transitions to a placed houseparent role with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and paid training. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to drive school vans, and willingness to live in campus housing with a married partner for at least two years.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to drive student home vans
- Two-spouse, legally married for at least two years
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
- Experience with youth
- Ability to live and work with same group of students in own student home
- No more than three dependent children in the home
- Proselytizing prohibited in religious activities
- Completed individual employment applications by both spouses
