Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents on the Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA, a two-person married couple role living in on-campus student homes to care for ~8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel participation, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from initial homes to a placed houseparent arrangement. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home. Includes comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Chapel services
