Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School: a two-person, on-campus live-in role where a married couple cares for a group of 8–13 students, handles supervision, transportation, daily routines, devotions, budgeting, and activities; starting with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, administering medications, driving to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and managing household reporting. Benefits include relocation assistance, paid training, comprehensive health benefits, and housing/utilities. Both spouses must apply individually, and the role requires a valid U.S. driver’s license and the ability to drive school vans.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Must complete individual employment applications
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
