Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents (married couple) live together on an on-campus student home at Milton Hershey School, supervising and mentoring ~8–13 students, driving students to activities, planning and leading development and recreational activities, administering medications, budgeting and reporting, and guiding students through daily routines and devotions. The role follows a nine-on / three-off duty cycle initially, with eventual placement into a consistent student-home assignment. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license and driver-vans certification, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; both spouses must be legally married for at least two years and be 27 or older, and both spouses must complete individual applications. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided; benefits include comprehensive medical/dental/vision, retirement options, PTO, and housing/meal provisions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Willingness for two-spouse, married-couple employment
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
