Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, reside in on-campus student homes to provide care, supervision, and structured, family-like environment for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from nine-on/three-off schedules to a placed houseparent arrangement. Requires a legally married couple not younger than 27, HS diploma/GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, compliance with campus rules (smoke-free, weapon-free, no alcohol on duty), and willingness to undergo training and relocation. This is a two-person, on-campus, full-time role with comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two-year marriage minimum for couple
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in the home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Desire to supervise and mentor youth
- Experience with youth in any capacity (work or volunteering)
- Ability to lead daily devotions and attend Sunday Chapel
