Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role for Milton Hershey School: married couple live on campus in student homes (approx. 8–13 students per home), provide supervision, guidance, and development support, drive students to activities, organize daily routines, devotions, and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition from initial nine days on / three off to a placed houseparent assignment. Requires high school diploma or GED, U.S. driver’s license with ability to become certified to drive student vans, and a commitment to living on-campus in a smoke- and weapon-free, alcohol-free environment. Both spouses must be legally married for at least two years, be 27 or older, and complete individual employment applications. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; benefits include medical/dental/vision, HSAs/FSAs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse role
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Willingness to reside on-campus in student homes
- Two-year minimum marriage duration (at least two years)
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Proficiency in supervising routines and student schedules
