Job Summary
Two-person, married-couple Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on Milton Hershey School campus to supervise and guide 8–13 students in a family-like home. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, medication administration, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, supervising routines and budgeting, and transitioning from a nine-on/three-off schedule to a placed houseparent role with the same student group. Benefits include salary per person and comprehensive coverage with relocation assistance and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-spouse, legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to reside on campus as houseparents
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
