Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents live on Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA, supervising and mentoring a group of approximately 8–13 students in a family-like home. Responsibilities include daily supervision, guidance, scheduling, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental/recreational activities, daily devotions, Sunday Chapel, budgeting, and housing reporting. After an initial period on nine days on, three days off, Houseparents transition to a placed Houseparent role, continuing to live with and support the same student group. Benefits include salary per person of $44,768 with comprehensive medical/dental/vision, retirement options, relocation assistance, paid training, and PTO. Qualifications require youth experience, a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and the ability to participate in religious activities as described; both spouses must apply separately for consideration.
Required Qualifications

- Comfort leading devotions and chapel services
- Experience with youth preferred
- On-campus housing available for family units
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Proximity to on-campus housing in Hershey, PA
