Driver Flatbed CDL A

Read bills of lading to determine assignment details and inspect loads to ensure cargo is secure, notifying the warehouse if rebuilding is required. Secure cargo using blocks, chains, binders, or tarps, and maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions following crew signals. Operate truck cab computers, CB radios, and GPS to exchange information with bases or supervisors, while checking all load-related documentation for completeness. Couple or uncouple trailers by adjusting jack positions and connecting air or electrical lines, then verify trailer conditions after unloading. Check vehicles for mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment issues, reporting defects or damage immediately, and maintain logs of working hours and vehicle service status. Perform basic maintenance tasks such as adding oil or fuel, and obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods. Work Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays, no overnights, and weekly pay.
