Job Summary
Drive company vehicles to transport rental equipment, loading orders and verifying items upon pickup and return. Utilize an iPad to process inbound orders while inspecting returned equipment for condition. Operate a forklift to load and unload delivery vehicles and transport equipment within the warehouse. Disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, reassemble, and test various electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Perform routine preventative maintenance on rental gear and ensure vehicle upkeep including oil, fuel, and cleaning. Report customer complaints, equipment issues, and vehicle problems to management. Prepare rental orders and conduct compliance inspections. This full-time role at LGH in Bridgeview, IL supports the hoisting and rigging equipment rental industry. Candidates must hold a valid Class C driver's license and DOT certification, with prior warehouse experience and mechanical aptitude strongly desired.
Required Qualifications
- Commercial driving experience
- Valid, Driver's License, Class C or above
- 21 years of age
- Driving record meeting insurance underwriting requirements
- No DUI, reckless driving, or serious moving violations within the past 5 years
- No more than 2 moving violations within the last 3 years
- No more than 2 preventable incidents within the last 3 years
- Ability to pass a hair follicle drug screening
- DOT certification
- Prior warehouse/manufacturing or related work
- Must be able to push/pull up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 55 lbs
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- Mechanical background or aptitude
- Experience working on air hoists, come alongs, manual hoists, and electric hoists
- Prior forklift experience
