Job Summary
Drive and operate an 18-wheel tractor/cargo tank to safely transport crude oil from the field to pipeline injection points or refineries. Check and record product sediment, water percent, temperature, and gravity. Record volume and lease site load/unload activity into a hand-held computer for run tickets. Prepare the driver's Daily Report and other paperwork. Inspect the truck, tires, tank, and surrounding area for safety concerns to ensure all equipment meets operating conditions. Report the volume of product hauled for accounting, revenue, and payroll purposes. Actively participate in and promote the Company's safety programs. This position must adhere to applicable D.O.T. regulations as a Safety Sensitive role subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
Required Qualifications
- valid class A CDL with Tank and Hazardous Materials endorsements (X)
- pass a pre-employment DOT medical exam
- pass DOT pre-employment drug and alcohol screenings
- driving record which contains no more than two (2) moving violations during the previous three (3) years
- read, write and speak fluent English
- adhere to applicable D.O.T. regulations
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two plus years of verifiable tractor/semi-trailer driving experience
- Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) card
