Job Summary
Driver position providing safe transportation for Main Street Recovery Residents to events, day trips, overnight trips, and recovery meetings; assist in Recovery House; support Safety Techs; maintain vehicle cleanliness; document transportations and incidents; report concerns; perform various duties as assigned; requires driving in Oregon, valid license, and ability to obtain CPR/First Aid and Food Handler certifications within 60 days; candidates must have High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year working with elderly population; willingness to travel locally; Native American culture knowledge preferred; on-site/US Sheridan, OR.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year experience working with the elderly population or closely related experience
- Equivalent education, training and experience
- Valid Oregon driver’s license or ability to obtain upon hire
- Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certificate within 60 days of hire
- Ability to obtain a Food Handler’s card within 60 days of hire
- Ability to drive in various conditions and times of day
- Ability to receive and understand direction and communicate with staff
- Dependable and team oriented
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to Native American culture
