Job Summary
Operate heavy-duty trucks with front, side, or rear-end load lift attachments to transport materials to disposal, transfer, or recycle facilities. Perform pre and post-trip inspections, document checks, and completely dump receptacles while leaving customer locations clean. Navigate high-traffic roadways, congested driveways, alleyways, and lots, executing highly skilled backing maneuvers in both commercial and residential environments. Report unsafe situations, service interruptions, or incidents to Operations Manager or Dispatch immediately. Follow route assignments, attend scheduled training programs, and complete end-of-day documentation. Work Monday through Friday from 5:30 AM to 3 PM at the Ottawa Hauling site. This union position requires a CDL Class A or B with an air-brake endorsement and offers competitive pay starting at $35.72/hr.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL
- 1 year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years
- Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
- (CDL)-Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A, with an air-brake endorsement
- (CDL)-Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class B, with an air-brake endorsement
