Job Summary
Provide safe, reliable transportation for residents to/from various locations, assist with boarding/alighting, operate wheelchair lifters, ensure safety and satisfaction, perform basic vehicle prep/maintenance checks, and maintain proper documentation and compliance. Must have a High School Diploma, valid driver's license (CDL may be required per state), passenger endorsement if required, minimum 3 years driving experience with a clean history, and prior experience with passenger transport in healthcare or senior-living settings. Demonstrated customer service, communication, patience, and organizational skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A valid state drivers license
- Passenger endorsement (if required by state regulations)
- At least three (3) years of driving experience and a clean driving history
- At least one (1) year of previous experience driving a passenger vehicle (preferably in healthcare or senior living)
- Experience in operating large vehicles or equivalent training
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, patience, and commitment to residents' respect
