Job Summary
Driver-CNA role combining motor vehicle handling with patient/resident care in a senior care setting. Responsibilities include transporting patients/residents as scheduled, assisting with scheduling resident appointments, providing support to the Assisted Living department, maintaining records per Department of Transportation requirements, ensuring equipment is well maintained and set up per manufacturer recommendations, and communicating scheduling conflicts. Requires CPR/BLS certification, valid driver's license, good customer service, and the ability to work across varied shifts in a rural health system environment. Experience with patient/resident handling, communication skills, and adherence to confidentiality are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Current CPR certification is required
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Driver’s license and insurability
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or within six months
- DOT requirements paperwork/records management
