Job Summary

Operate a 26-ft box truck to service multiple customer locations daily, safely delivering and removing large appliances for the Appliance Recycling program. Visit homes to verify eligibility, load and secure units using proper lifting techniques, and transport collected appliances to a warehouse or recycling facility. Interact professionally with customers while following all safety procedures and company policies. Maintain a clean driving record and pass required background checks and drug screenings. This safety-sensitive role requires physical capability for heavy lifting and flexibility with scheduling, including occasional extended days. Must be located in the Marion/Cedar Rapids area.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be located in the Marion/Cedar Rapids area
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Comfortable performing physical work, including heavy lifting and repetitive movement
  • Strong customer service skills with a professional and courteous demeanor
  • Ability to communicate clearly with team members and customers
  • Willingness to learn
  • DOT medical card (assistance available upon hire if required)
  • Must successfully pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test
  • Must consent to the company obtaining a motor vehicle report evidencing a satisfactory driving record
  • Must maintain a clean driving record as an ongoing requirement for continued employment
  • Must meet all DOT qualification requirements
  • Must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations
  • Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located without the need for employer sponsorship or support

Desired Qualifications

  • Physical capability to safely operate a company-provided box truck to pick up residential refrigerators and freezers scheduled for recycling
  • Ability to visit customer homes daily, verify appliance eligibility, and ensure program requirements are met
  • Ability to safely load, secure, and transport appliances using dollies, straps, and proper lifting techniques
  • Ability to maneuver and move appliances weighing approximately 150–250 lbs using team-lifting methods
  • Ability to transport collected appliances to a warehouse or recycling facility
  • Ability to interact professionally with customers, providing courteous service and clear communication
  • Ability to follow safety procedures, equipment guidelines, and company policies at all times
  • Ability to contribute to environmental sustainability by ensuring appliances are responsibly removed and recycled
  • Flexibility with scheduling, including occasional extended days
  • Comfort with working in a variety of environments and weather conditions
  • Commitment to safety, teamwork, and customer service
