Job Summary
Provide patient transportation and run errands while adhering to Department of Transportation and Texas Department of Public Safety regulations. Conduct weekly vehicle safety inspections, report repairs, and ensure buses with wheelchair lifts and Class C vans remain in safe working condition. Transport patients, families, and insurance carriers, supervising staff to ensure safety during shifts. Requires familiarity with CNS policies, a safe driving record, and physical ability to operate lifts and climb three steps repeatedly. Must hold a Class C license, complete Pro-ACT, CPR, and First Aid training. High school graduation or G.E.D. required.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduation or G.E.D.
- At least 18 years of age
- Excellent driving record
- Class C license
- Successful completion of Professional Assault Crisis Training (Pro-ACT)
- Successful completion of CPR and First Aid certification
- Familiarity with and adherence to Department of Transportation and Texas Department of Public Safety (TX) program regulations
- Submission to drug screening upon request
- Maintaining of a safe driving record
- Physical ability to operate a wheelchair lift and climb in and out of vehicle with 3 steps repeatedly
- Ability to supervise staff during transportation of patients
