Job Summary
Drive delivery vehicles and/or operate truck-trailer combinations to transport and deliver materials to customer sites, weighing over 26,000 pounds. Load, secure, and unload products while maneuvering vehicles into loading positions and assisting customers with unloading. Verify order details, maintain logs of deliveries and mileage, and check items against invoices for accuracy. Act as a customer service liaison, handle concerns, and perform routine safety checks and DVIRs using handheld devices. Operate forklifts or non-motorized equipment to load and offload materials. Maintain hours of service logs and vehicle cleanliness.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 21+ years old
- valid driver's license
- class B CDL license
- A minimum of 1 year of delivery driving experience
- 2 years of CDL driving experience strongly preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Class B CDL license
- Pass MVR report
- Obtain a DOT medical card within five (5) days of a request
- Have less than 5 moving violations in the last 5 years
- Basic math & measurement skills
- Ability to read and speak the English language
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds frequently
- Must be able to lift and carry, with assistance, up to 200 pounds
- Must be able to physically operate delivery vehicles (climb up and down into cab, twist torso for 360-degree visibility, use arms to operate controls, etc.)
