Job Summary
Deliver hardwood lumber and related products to customer locations while maintaining safe work zones and adhering to assigned schedules. Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections, conduct load checks, and ensure vehicle compliance with all regulations. Load and unload trailers using forklifts or hand-load materials as needed, communicating clearly with dispatch and customers. Operate safely in adverse weather conditions including rain, snow, and ice, and participate in ongoing safety and continuous improvement efforts. Work a Monday through Friday schedule with no over-the-road travel, including one to two monthly overnight trips to Eastern Washington with provided lodging.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL-A license
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screens
- Commitment to attending CDL-A classes as scheduled and successfully passing required written and driving exams
- Ability to lift 30-100 pounds when required
- Dependable transportation to and from work
Desired Qualifications
- Previous CDL-A driving experience preferred (training provided)
- Residency within the Portland Metro Area or Willamette Valley corridor preferred
