Job Summary
Drive tractor trailers and straight trucks on local routes delivering floral products to customers while adhering to all DOT regulations and company safety policies. Perform pre/post trip safety inspections, verify freight loading, and execute hook/unhook procedures per guidelines. Safely navigate routes to meet delivery times, obtain customer signatures, and unload equipment and trash as required. Complete daily hours of service logs and ensure all route paperwork is accurate. Work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays, with some starts as early as 12:30 am.
Required Qualifications
- Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
- Minimum of one year commercial driving experience (any industry) OR commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required
- Pass pre-employment drug test
- Pass road test
- Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required
- Able to work around major floral holidays
- Ability to work any day of the week, including weekends
- Able to start as early as 12:30 am
