Job Summary
Drive trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight over 26,000 lbs and towed weights exceeding 10,000 lbs, transporting goods from origin to assigned destinations. Securely attach trailer hitches, pick up loads, and organize goods in an ordered manner. Safely handle and unload goods at selected destinations, obtaining signatures or warehouse scans to confirm deliveries. Operate electric lifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks as needed while following Cal OSHA regulations and reporting hazards. Requires a valid Class A driver's license, two years of tractor-trailer experience, and clean driving record. Pay range is $25.00 - $35.00 hourly with on-site work at Fullerton locations.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A driver's license
- Must pass a background check and drug test
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to couple/uncouple trailers and handle related equipment
- Sufficient vision, hearing, and coordination to drive and maneuver safely
- Ability to enter and exit tractor cabs and trailers multiple times per shift
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Exposure to traffic, noise, vibration, dust, and fumes common to transportation work
- Regular and predictable attendance
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years proven experience with tractor-trailer driving
- Clean driving record with no moving violations
- Skilled at driving large vehicles
- Comfortable maneuvering and parking a tractor-trailer
- Alert, focused, and detail-oriented
- Able to operate an electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
- Follow company safety culture and Cal OSHA regulations
- Able to identify work hazard situations
