Job Summary
Deliver product to agencies and scheduled pickup sites, and pick up product from donors within the state of Florida. Perform pre-trip inspections of the tractor and trailer, reporting defects immediately to the supervisor. Obtain signatures or stamps on route reports, check deliveries for accuracy, and secure signatures at all stops. Complete truck inspection reports, mileage logs, and driver paperwork reconciling pickups and drop-offs. Maintain a hygienic environment inside and outside vehicles, and assist with loading and unloading when resources are limited. Work core hours of 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM in a fast-paced environment requiring valid Class A CDL, a clean driving record, and at least two years of driving experience.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license
- Clean driving record
- At least 2 years driving experience
- Certified in the use of electrically powered forklift and pallet jack, or willingness to obtain within the first 30-day of employment
- Food safety certification, or willingness to obtain within the first 30-day of employment
- Ongoing lifting/lowering, push, pull, and carrying boxes/packages weighing up to 50 lbs. for 8-to-10 hour shifts
- Work in an environment that will contain variable temperatures and humidity, exposure to noise, dust/dirt
- Bend, stop, crouch, climb, stand, sit, walk and turn/pivot
- Willing to actively participate in mission-driven programs, such as food distribution initiatives and disaster relief operations as needed
- All internal candidates must be in good standing with no corrective actions within the last 90 days
