Job Summary
Delivery driver for BFS/Builders FirstSource with a Class A CDL. Responsibilities include operating delivery vehicles and truck-trailer combinations to transport/building-materials to customer sites, loading/unloading, securing loads, maintaining delivery logs, and serving as a customer service liaison. Must perform safety checks, adhere to DVIR/HOS requirements, assist with loading, and handle paperwork such as invoices and credit/returns. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid license, Class A CDL, and 1 year of delivery driving experience (2 years preferred); DOT medical card within 5 days of request; ability to lift up to 100 pounds frequently (up to 200 pounds with assistance); strong English reading/speaking skills. Willingness to operate forklifts or non-motorized equipment and work in a production environment with safety emphasis.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 21+ years old
- valid driver's license
- Class A CDL license
- minimum of 1 year delivery driving experience
- 2 years CDL driving experience strongly preferred
- DOT medical card within five (5) days of a request
- less than 5 moving violations in the last 5 years
- basic math & measurement skills
- ability to read and speak the English language
