Job Summary
Drive delivery vehicles and/or operate truck-trailer combinations to transport and deliver materials to customer sites, weighing over 26,000 pounds and towing units exceeding 10,000 pounds. Load or assist with securing product inside the vehicle, maneuver into loading positions, and assist customers with unloading while verifying order details against invoices. Maintain logs of delivery duties, mileage, and locations; perform routine safety checks, DVIR, and HOS procedures using handheld devices. Operate forklifts or non-motorized equipment to load and offload materials. Handle customer concerns as a liaison and perform credit or product return pick-ups. Work within a production environment subject to temperature variations and hazardous conditions, lifting up to 100 pounds frequently.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 21+ years old
- valid driver's license
- Class A CDL license
- 1 year of delivery driving experience
- Pass MVR report
- Obtain a DOT medical card within five (5) days of a request
- Have less than 5 moving violations in the last 5 years
- Basic math & measurement skills
- Ability to read and speak the English language
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
- Must be able to physically operate delivery vehicles (climb up and down into cab, twist torso for 360 degree visibility, use arms to operate controls, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years of CDL driving experience
