Job Summary
Drive delivery vehicles and truck-trailer combinations weighing over 26,000 pounds to transport building materials to customer sites. Load, secure, and unload products while maneuvering into loading positions, and assist customers with unloading to ensure accurate delivery. Verify order details against invoices, maintain DVIR logs, HOS records, and mileage logs, and perform routine safety checks and vehicle inspections. Operate forklifts or non-motorized equipment for material handling and handle credit/product return pick-ups. Use handheld devices for compliance tracking while driving. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and adhere to all safety regulations and DOT medical card requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 21+ years old
- valid driver's license
- Class A CDL license
- A minimum of 1 year of delivery driving experience
- 2 years of CDL driving experience are strongly preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Class A CDL license
- Pass MVR report
- Obtain a DOT medical card within five (5) days of a request
- Have less than 5 moving violations in the last 5 years
- Basic math & measurement skills
- Ability to read and speak the English language
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds frequently
- Must be able to physically operate delivery vehicles (climb up and down into cab, twist torso for 360 degree visibility, use arms to operate controls, etc.)
