Job Summary
Drive delivery vehicles and/or operate truck-trailer combinations weighing over 26,000 pounds to transport and deliver materials to customer sites, ensuring on-time delivery and handling loading/unloading as needed. Maintain logs of deliveries, verify order details, and serve as a customer service liaison with sites. Conduct pre/post trip inspections, follow DVIR/HOS requirements, perform safety checks and may operate a forklift to load/unload materials. Adhere to safety procedures and company guidelines, and participate in periodic safety meetings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 21+ years old
- valid driver's license
- Class A CDL license
- A minimum of 1 year of delivery driving experience
- 2 years of CDL driving experience are strongly preferred
- Valid MVR
- DOT medical card within five (5) days of a request
- Less than 5 moving violations in the last 5 years
- Basic math & measurement skills
- Ability to read and speak the English language
