Job Summary
Lead Class A Truck Driver at Tricont Trucking, responsible for supervising and mentoring CDL drivers, assigning loads and trucks/trailers to dispatch, and managing dispatch operations. Duties include ride-alongs with drivers, DOT paperwork (Elog, HOS, DVIR, inspections), safety oversight, equipment maintenance scheduling, payroll input in the TMS, payroll accuracy checks, accident reporting, driver training, and coverage of routes as needed. Requires knowledge of DOT regulations, a Class A CDL, clean MVR, ability to pass background checks and DOT physical, and leadership experience overseeing staff. Start time 7:00 AM-5:00 PM in Kansas City, MO; compensation $26/hour; benefits package and equal opportunity employer statements included.
Required Qualifications
- Six (6) months to One (1) year Lead Driver or Supervisory experience overseeing a staff of drivers
- Class A CDL Driver’s License
- Clean MVR
- Ability to pass the Tricont Trucking background check and a DOT physical including functional capacity exam and drug screen
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Demonstrated ability of dealing effectively and in a cooperative manner with personnel/departmental staff
- Knowledge of DOT Regulations
- Commitment to working as a team member for the benefit of the organization
- 2 years recent Class A driving experience; a minimum of 6 months to a year Lead Driver experience and/or related experience overseeing staff.
