Job Summary
Operate a fixed route bus to transport passengers safely and courteously while driving defensively and reacting to emergency situations. Follow established company policies regarding vehicle safety, appearance, and reporting mechanical or behavioral problems. Assist passengers as needed to maintain positive public relations during ongoing transportation services. Maintain a safe driving record and possess a Kansas Commercial Driver's License with a Passenger endorsement.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a safe driving record
- Must have three years driving experience
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have Kansas Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement or ability to obtain it within 30 days of employment
- Must have a proven work history
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to follow oral directions
- Ability to read a road map
- Must meet the eligibility requirements of the auto insurance company providing coverage for OCCK vehicles
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in driving a school bus or public transportation bus preferred
