Job Summary
Execute pickup and delivery activities for assigned shipments, verifying details, securing signatures, and maintaining accurate transport records. Transport materials, products, and medical samples following route plans, temperature controls, and transportation regulations. Support loading, unloading, packaging, and labeling to protect shipment integrity, while monitoring vehicle condition and packaging supplies. Communicate delivery status, delays, and shipment exceptions to support timely issue resolution and service continuity. Monitors vehicle condition and packaging supply levels, and escalates maintenance needs or stock shortages to reduce operational disruption. Provides support for specialized transport activities, including transfer-point, airport, hand-to-hand, and adjusted schedule assignments.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Less than 2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, courier operations, delivery services, or a related field
- Certification in dangerous goods awareness
- Licensure in operation of the applicable vehicle class
- Certification in cold chain handling
- Equivalent to the above certifications
