Driver (CDL) – Route/Delivery

Job Summary
Drive trucks for up to 11 hours per day Monday through Friday hauling finished steel products and back hauls within a 200-mile radius, specializing in oversize flatbed, boxed, conestoga, and 1-ton pickup freight. Verify inventory loads against shipping papers, secure loads with chains and straps, and inspect vehicle supplies including gas, oil, tires, lights, and brakes. Report mechanical problems, assist with assembling specialized trailers, and communicate with customers for deliveries while following all FMCSA guidelines. Maintain a Class A CDL and possess exceptional organizational skills to work independently with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Must maintain a Class A Commercial Driver's License
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Certificate
- 2 years' related experience required
- Regular and predictable attendance is required
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
- Computer/technology skills required
- Exceptional organizational skills
- A keen eye for detail
- The ability to recognize errors with accuracy and efficiency
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to communicate effectively both written and verbally
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
