Job Summary
Conduct pre and post trip inspections, notating vehicle defects, and adhere to DOT hours of service rules. Deliver invoiced products by bottle, case, or pallet to approximately 19 accounts daily, covering up to 160 miles (increasing to 300 on out-of-town routes). Verify receipt of correct orders by checking product type and size against invoices, obtaining customer signatures, and collecting non-cash payments as necessary. Ensure physical security of the truck at all times and provide feedback on route changes or concerns. Collect non-cash payments for goods received when required. Potential for dedicated overnight routes exists. Possibility to work with one or more helpers. Utilize smartphone for interaction with hours of service software and driver monitoring programs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- preferably two years delivery experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- current Class B CDL driver's license
- ability to meet company vehicle insurance requirements
- ability to obtain valid DOT medical certification card
- Alcohol Beverage Commission (ABC) License
- ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to occasionally lift up to 100 pounds
