Job Summary
Ensure compliance with procedures and perform regular safety checks on equipment including the tractor, trailer, and pallet jack. Complete daily field service activities by preparing receipts, truck logs, and maintenance records. Perform all duties as scheduled by the Route Manager or Dispatch, utilizing a scanner and electronic logging device for deliveries. Maintain temperature-controlled food transportation standards while adapting to changing routes and outdoor weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a CDL-Class A license
- Must have at least one year of proven safe driving experience
- Must successfully pass our drug test
- Must pass MVR
- Must pass background check
- FMCSA's Clearinghouse Registration required
- Minimum of one year of safe driving experience with no serious driving convictions
- DOT requirement to check the last 10 years
- Familiarity with Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal requirements
- Basic understanding of temperature-controlled food transportation
- Proficiency in using a smart phone and electronic logging device (ELD) for logging positions and driving times
- Able to use a scanner and log deliveries
- Flexibility to adapt to changing routes and working schedules
- Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions and varying temperatures
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
