Job Summary
Ensure compliance with procedures and perform regular safety checks on equipment including the tractor, trailer, and pallet jack. Complete daily field service activities by preparing receipts, truck logs, and maintenance records while adhering to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations. Execute scheduled deliveries across Philadelphia, Delaware, Baltimore, and the Reading PA area using electronic logging devices and scanners. Maintain a valid Class A CDL with one year of safe driving experience and pass required drug tests and background checks. Work Monday through Friday, with Saturday availability as needed, starting between 12am and 5am.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a CDL-Class A license
- Have at least one year of proven safe driving experience
- Have a valid REAL ID driver's license, U.S. passport, or federal ID
- Must successfully pass our drug test, MVR, and background check
- FMCSA's Clearinghouse Registration required
- Minimum of one year of safe driving experience with no serious driving convictions
- Familiarity with Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, as well as local, state, and federal requirements
- Basic understanding of temperature-controlled food transportation
- Proficiency in using a smart phone and electronic logging device (ELD) for logging positions and driving times
- Able to use a scanner and log deliveries
- Flexibility to adapt to changing routes and working schedules
- Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions and varying temperatures
- Schedule, but subject to change based on business demand: Monday- Friday Saturday's if needed
- Starting between 12am- 5am; finishing when work is completed
- 40 hrs. per week
- Principal location: Penske location 255 River Front Dr. Reading PA
- Interstate: Both -Philadelphia PA, Delaware, Baltimore, Reading PA area
