Job Summary
Operate and safely drive assigned delivery vehicles while maintaining predetermined routes for timely local and inside deliveries. Pick-up loads, organize goods, secure contents to prevent damage, and unload at destinations using lift gates, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Confirm shipment contents match manifests, perform vehicle inspections before and after trips, and maintain detailed driving logs. Communicate with dispatch, notify managers of maintenance or delivery issues, and comply with ICC and DOT regulations. Valid Class B license, DOT Medical Card, and 2+ years of delivery experience required. Union position with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class B driver's license
- High school or GED equivalent
- 2+ years of delivery driver experience
- Driving record must meet company safety standards
- Ability to pass pre-placement drug testing
- Must be able to maintain a DOT Medical Card
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
- Proficient using GPS and other routing systems
- High level of composure and good stress management
- Experience with Local Deliveries/Inside deliveries
- Experience driving Straight truck (bobtail 24ft to 26ft)
