Job Summary
CDL A driver responsible for safely operating heavy commercial trucks to provide prompt and courteous delivery and removal of large containers. Ensure vehicle compliance with safety standards and regulations, complete daily vehicle condition reports, perform complete pre- and post-operation inspections, and service routes as assigned. Interact with customers and dispatchers daily, perform minor container repairs, identify unsatisfactory waste containers, monitor waste quality, and maintain documentation including route/productivity sheets and VCRs. Adheres to safety policies and participates in the ReSOP program; demonstrates strong customer service, time management, and mechanical aptitude to support efficient operations.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks preferred
- Class A Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude to perform minor repairs to containers
- Good customer services skills to meet and exceed customer expectations; acts in a professional, courteous and cooperative manner toward customers and co-workers
- Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner
- Good follow through ability; adheres to work schedule and follows through on challenges as they arise
- Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules set forth; promotes the Company’s safety standards; does not take inappropriate risks
