Job Summary
Load and unload products from the vehicle, verify contents against shipping invoices, and deliver orders to customers on time. Operate within legal speed limits while completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, documenting all maintenance issues. Unload goods at assigned stops using pallet jacks or forklifts, verify counts and condition, and report shortages or damage. Maintain constant communication with sales and delivery departments to resolve customer needs and concerns. Adhere to all Department of Transportation standards, federal and state regulations, and company policies while ensuring safe transportation of United's beverage alcohol portfolio.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years or older
- Valid Class A CDL in the applicable state
- State minimum auto-liability insurance
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to maintain these minimum administrative driving requirements throughout employment
- Able to read, write, and perform basic math computations
- Able to talk and hear, stand and walk, sit, reach with arms and hands, lift and carry, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel
- Able to down stack and relocate large amounts of product weighing up to 180 lbs throughout the day
- Able to perform greater than average lifting, with some overhead lifting required
- Able to safely operate electric or manual pallet jack and/or forklift
- Able to frequently climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must have specific vision abilities that include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to judge distance
- Regular, reliable attendance required
Desired Qualifications
- 1 – 3 years of direct experience in a similar position preferred
